A Note from the President of Our CooperativeGoing back to the beginning of the gallery, the founding members shared a vision of connecting the community through art. Though this year has forced a degree of physical separation upon us, it has also given us the opportunity to appreciate the importance of the artistic threads in the fabric of our community. For our artists, connecting with the staff while dropping off work has been reassuring. Our customers have been so appreciative of the gallery this year as it reminds them that there is still beauty and creativity in the world.
The launching of our Online Store has not only strengthened our connections with local people, but it has even reconnected us with past customers who had moved out of the area. And the challenges of this year have encouraged us to look at ourselves, to look at the ways in which we could do a better job of connecting with all members of the community. Our Art of Resilience show brought new artists and customers into our gallery. As the days begin to lengthen, we look forward to emerging from this dark time with a stronger sense of purpose. May we carry with us the lessons we have learned during this year, and remember to always cherish the narratives and connections we create through our art. Comments are closed.
