Giving Flowers

Picture
October 5 - November 10, 2024
Opening Reception: Saturday, October 5, 4-6pm

Live Performance by the Musical Group "Bat Noise": Saturday, Octover 19, 4-6 pm
ACCI Gallery presents Giving Flowers; an eclectic group exhibition of over thirty artists. Curated by Suzane Beaubrun, the gallery will showcase several ACCI members as well as guest artists with ties to the Bay Area. In “Giving Flowers” artists have chosen works that show appreciation for their individual muses. It is an opportunity to reflect on the sources of creativity and the ways we might spark creativity in others.

As part of the exhibition, ACCI will host a special performance by the musical improv duo Bat Noise. Lulu Gammaray and Roxy Monoxide of Bat Noise are cherished muses of the curator. Visitors are encouraged to bring their sketchbooks and find inspiration in this unique sound and visual experience.

Artist's Talk
Saturday, October 12, 4pm
Join us for an inspiring Artist’s Talk as part of Giving Flowers at ACCI Gallery, featuring the powerful voices of artists Vincent Avalos, Kin Folkz, and Javier Perez. Moderated by a guest speaker, the discussion will explore their unique creative journeys and the diverse sources of inspiration that fuel their work. As artists who bring vital perspectives, Avalos, Folkz, and Perez will share how their identities and personal muses have shaped their art. This conversation is part of the eclectic group show curated by Suzane Beaubrun, celebrating creativity in all its forms. Don't miss this opportunity to hear directly from artists and to delve deeper into the stories behind the creations!
