Paula began her studies in New York and London and earned a MFA in ceramics from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York. Paula's work late work was made with red earthenware with layers of slips and terra sigillata, fired in an electric kiln at cone 04. While most of her work encompassed functional pieces, she also played with sculptural, non-functional forms. Working with low-fired clay allowed her to be more spontaneous and free. |
