HOW TO TITLE AND WRITE DESCRIPTIONS FOR YOUR ONLINE STORE ITEMS

Every item in the online store has a descriptive title which includes "by {your name}." This helps customers search for more of your work without scrolling through the entire media category, or across media if you work in more than one. Please make this title descriptive, but not clinical. No need to include every material in the piece, but with jewelry for example, you'd want to include the main feature(s) in the title, such as "Aquamarine and Silver Pendant by Junko Stickney." There may be other gemstones and gold accents on the piece, but that information can be put in the description.

Item descriptions typically begin with one sentence about the artist written in 3rd person, describing their history, media, style, subject matter or techniques. This is followed by a line describing the specifics of the item, such as: its function (coffee mug), color, style, motifs, etc. The last sentence states the item's measurements, including volume if applicable (this sturdy mug holds 16 ounces of liquid). You can also include alternate uses for the item (perfect for your morning coffee, or on the table with a bouquet of flowers) or care instructions.

Please DO NOT use: incomplete phrases, bullet points, or formatted text of any kind for the descriptions; it does not translate into Artisan. Write everything out in complete sentences.

Please include these measurements, materials, and care info in your descriptions.

Covered Casserole in Seafood by Kathy Kearns
Kathy Kearns uses traditional glaze colors on her stoneware that bring to mind sand and sea for her Greek inspired pottery designs. This covered casserole dish features Kathy's Aegean Wave motif and measures about 11" in diameter and 6.5" tall with the lid. The casserole can accommodate 4-6 generous servings.

Keum Boo Earrings with Amethyst Briolettes by Sarah Liron
Sarah Liron's masterful metalsmithing and elegant design sense are expressed in color, texture and sparkle. These earrings are made with the keum boo technique of burnishing 24K gold onto a silver surface, and finished with beautiful amethyst briolettes. The earrings measure around .75" long and come with extra wide ear nuts for a gentler hold on the ear.

Medium Calla Vase by David M Bowman Studio
Father and son artists David and Reed Bowman combine their expert metalsmithing with a painterly patina flourish. This handsome vase is fabricated from brass tube and ingot and copper sheet. Copper leaves are colored with heat; tube is colored with traditional verdigris sculptural patina applied by brush and torch. The vase measures about 11" tall and is tested watertight.
