A Biennial Collaborative Exhibition
ACCI Gallery | Metal Arts Guild | Northern California Enamelers Guild
October 9-November 7, 2021
As we emerge from forced hibernation during the COVID pandemic, a rebirth of possibilities feels so good. Forging metal strengthens, forms, and releases its potential into works of art. As members of the metal arts community, let us strengthen, form, and release each other’s artistic potential as we “Forge the Future.”
Wield the hammer, light the torch, watch the solder flow, and share your artistic vision with others in this curated members exhibition. Let us commit to collectively shaping a more equitable, diverse, and dynamic metals community as we “Forge the Future.”
The Metal Arts Guild is celebrating its 70th anniversary this year and kicks off its public programming with this exhibition. We will carry on the rich history of the guild as we “Forge the Future” for the next 70 years.

OPENING RECEPTION
Saturday, October 9 | 1pm-5pm
Join us for the Opening of Forge the Future! The exhibition opens this Saturday, and we will be hosting a rolling reception from 1pm to 5pm. In order to accommodate COVID precautions, we've divided the reception into one-hour blocks which will feature a selection of the participating artists. We hope this will reduce the tendency for everyone to show up at the beginning and allow for more of a relaxed flow of visitors throughout the day, but feel free to attend during any hour of the reception.
Artists and guests are required to wear masks and social distance, and we will be limiting the number of people in the gallery space to 25 at a time, so please be advised there may be a brief wait before entry. Light refreshments will be served including bottled water and individually wrapped treats. A representative from each organization (MAG, NCEG, and ACCI) will be present throughout the afternoon to greet guests.
