Terms commonly used at ACCI in jewelry descriptions and their abbreviations in case you are trying to fit more words on the inventory form for your description:
sm means small
md means medium
lg means large
K as in 24K mean carat as in gold. So write 16K, 18K, 24K with no space between the number and the k
KB means keum boo or the Korean process of bonding thin layers of 24K gold to a silver surface
w/ means “with” and is made with a small w and a slash or /
sz means size
cz means cubic zirconia
fs means fine silver
gf means gold fill
Ni = niobium
Vermeil should be fully written out
as means argentium silver
ss means sterling silver
oxi means oxidized
st = Steel
Ti = Titanium
Cu means copper, and please use a capital C and a small ‘u’
Alum mean aluminium, and please use a capital A and small ‘lum’
