Michael Sosin is an alchemist with a visceral relationship to molten glass – a medium that cannot physically be touched but exists in excess of 2,000 °F. Yet Michael has mastered an intimacy with this foreboding material and is able to manipulate it with the most basic lines and shapes to form vessels that compel. Using a language of bright and dazzling colors, his forms beckon the viewer to desire multiples that complement and contrast one another. |
