This
October ACCI features the work of 5 artist members whose work
breathes new life into discarded materials. “Resuscitation”
is about reinvention, reinterpretation, recycling, and recreating,
and features the world’s first “Carrot Curtain”,
a work created by Clayton Bain that is at best described as an
organic process... Cordelia DeVere’s Gizzy Dolls and Donna
Duguay’s 2-D works are made entirely of discarded fabric
and embellished with objects discovered at the East Bay Depot
for Creative Reuse. Mirto Golino’s wall sculptures come
together from found objects and are reflective of Mexican and
Appalachian folk art. And, our impermanent sculptor, Zach Pine,
showcases his photographs of the sculptures he’s created
from natural materials as well discarded, broken glass.
